A National Solidarity pledge was organized by VMFT in Palayam Square, Trivandrum, to commemorate the 147th birth anniversary of Vakkom Moulavi Abdul Khader on 28 December 2020.
Shri M.G. Radhakrishnan, Editor-in-Chief, Asianet News led the recitation of the pledge. Explaining why Vakkom Moulavi played such a pivotal role in the Kerala Renaissance, Shri Radhakrishnan highlighted his audacity in constantly questioning the political authorities and government and his willingness to dedicate his life to upholding values that we hold dear today.
The recitation of the pledge has now become an annual feature and commemorates the outstanding contributions of Vakkom Moulavi to the cause of democracy and freedom in Kerala.
